Tree Preservation Orders [Draft]

Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) are statutory designations made by a planning authority in Ireland to protect specific trees, groups of trees, or woodlands that are considered to have amenity, environmental, or cultural value. A TPO prohibits the cutting down, topping, lopping, uprooting, or otherwise damaging of protected trees without prior permission from the planning authority. This dataset is for research / informational purposes only. The points in this dataset do not necessarily represent one tree and may represent a larger area. For authoritative information on TPOs included, and not include in this dataset, the associated legal orders should be referred to.
